Executive Improvements Advisor

Location: Dillingham Alaska

Description: Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation is employing Executive Improvements Advisor right now, this vacancy will be placed in Alaska. Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Training or experience in quality concepts, organizational dynamics, change theory tools and method for improvement.

Familiarity with Statistical Processes.

4 years of increasingly responsible experience in a health care environment with ability to run reports in RPMS and/or Meditech system.

Proficient in:
a. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment.

Business letter writing, correspondence, memorandum, and report preparation techniques and methods.

Principles and procedures of filing and record keeping.

Correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Work independently in the absence of supervision.

Clear communication, both comprehensibly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Experience with Statistical Math concepts

Ability to:
Facilitate teams that cross multiple departments and functions.

Provide consultation and serve in advisory role.

Work effectively in situations where there is a need to demonstrate leadership skills to achieve the expected results.

Perform responsible and difficult administrative support work involving the use of personal initiative to work within tight deadlines.

Maintaining confidentiality of information and records is critical.

Learn and apply organizational and departmental policies, procedures and rules.

Learn and apply applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, codes, and regulations.

Essential Functions:
Analyzes systems and processes to understand workflow, relationships, stakeholders and culture in order to identify opportunities for improvement and the key drivers for improvement.

Supports regulatory and accreditation activities including participation in surveys and accreditation readiness.

Supports Division of Nursing in hypothesis and data driven problem solving through Collecting, organizing, analyzing and displaying qualitative and quantitative data.

Reporting and explaining measure and data to internal and external audiences.

Assist clinicians, clinical leaders and administrators to manage and understand improvement measures, performance dashboards, and score cards and to use data analysis to drive fact-based decision making.

Change Leadership:
assists clinicians and clinical leaders to develop ideas for change that will result in improvement and the appropriate scale and setting for testing changes

together with clinicians and clinical leaders, designs test to evaluate the impact of changes on clinical processes and outcomes, and facilitates organizational learning about the impact of improvement efforts

advises clinicians and clinical leaders to transition from testing to implementation and coaches clinicians and clinical leaders to build proven changes into their processes and systems and to spread improvement

provides consultation on change adoption and diffusion and the management of resistance and constraints

Team Facilitation, Project Management and Communication:
a. builds and facilitates improvement teams

Together with team leads, develops and manages improvement project plans

Building Organizational Capability and Accountability:
teaches improvement science and methods to clinicians and clinical leaders

models the use of a standardized approach to improvement work

expert consultation on improvement work

acts as an organizational patient safety champion, and as a working member of the patient safety and quality improvement leadership of the organization, supports patient safety concepts and methods and high reliability principles

Directs designated staff to compile, organize and may present data for special projects; collect and assemble data and background materials for a variety of reports and business plans; maintain and collect confidential material and records.

Verifies and reviews materials for completeness and conformance with established regulations and procedures.

Directs designated staff to schedule and maintain calendars of meetings and events; coordinate activities with other departments.

Arranges and organizes meetings and other events as assigned.

Organizes and maintains filing systems, records, and disc storage and filing.

Operates a variety of office equipment including a computer inputs and retrieves data and text;

Perform related and other duties and responsibilities as required.
