Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to the Cardiovascular Interventional Unit/Cardiovascular Observational Unit at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.!
In this position, you will:
Assist physicians in performing and completing therapeutic cardiovascular procedures using a variety of specialized equipment, monitors, devices and supplies.
Assist with pre, intra, and post procedure monitoring per hospital protocol.
Maintain pre and post procedure documentation.
Be responsible for vital signs, teaching, insertion site assessment, removing sheaths, and using vascular closure devices per department policy.
Remain up to date in cardiac and vascular procedural practice as well as emergency techniques/protocol.
Deal tactfully and compassionately with patients/families/significant others under potentially stressful conditions.
Perform all duties in a manner that respects and supports the family centered care model.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Licensed as ! a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska at time of hire.
Schedule varies to meet department needs.
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with a variety of health unit teams.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prefer two years experience in critical care nursing/emergency nursing.
