OpenDairy, founded in 2021, is an independent, transparent and full-service marketplace for dairy ingredients. The founders Hans and Martijn are the perfect combination of (dairy) market knowledge and IT background and that’s how they want to revolutionize the commodity trading industry. They believe commodity transactions should be easy, transparent and accessible for all market players. Due to growth opportunities, they are looking for a Sales Development Representative to strengthen their team.

You have a strong drive to build and set up a business in an international network. You are eager to join a young, growing company and want to help us grow even more, by expanding our full-service trading platform in the international dairy industry. As Sales Development Representative for OpenDairy, you have a commercial mindset, knowledge of dairy trade and a talent for languages.

WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

You will be responsible for finding, contacting and onboarding new users for our platform.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Expand the existing network of buyers and sellers on the OpenDairy platform internationally
  • Generate leads, visit customers and open doors to present the OpenDairy platform. Cold calling is part of the job as is intensive use of our CRM and lead generation tools
  • Demo the OpenDairy marketplace, onboard new users
  • Be an ambassador for the OpenDairy brand and identify with our core values: transparency, sustainability and efficiency.

Your track record:

  • Relevant sales experience
  • Great analytical and social skills
  • Experience in (dairy) commodity sales is a pre
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch and any other languages are an advantage.

PROFILE

For this position, it is important that you have a commercial hunting mindset. You enjoy finding new and unknown customers and getting them on the phone or on a video call to explain the proposition

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Trading, Business Administration, Commercial Economics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, lead generation and/or trading.
  • Internationally oriented and fluent in Dutch, English and good command of a third language is an advantage
  • You are proactive, a networker and good in building new business independently
  • You are enthusiastic and agile, with an open and culturally sensitive attitude

LOCATION

We have offices in the east and west of the Netherlands where our team meets regularly to catch up and socialize. Working remote is the standard.
