The Department of Health & Social Services, Division of Behavior Health, Alaska Psychiatric Institute is recruiting for a full-time Health Practitioner I

This is open to an! Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is responsible for:
Providing Psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and medication recommendation services through API Frontline Telebehavioral Health services
Promoting Integrated Behavioral Health services in Primary Care settings
Work in an efficient and independent manner under the supervision of the Director for Frontline Telebehavioral Health, Chief of Psychiatry and API Medical Director.
Applicants MUST be an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to apply for this position and have advanced training in a curriculum leading up to the degree and certification as a Psychiatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner or specialization as a Psychiatric Physician Assistant. Minimum Qualifications:
Must either possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Alaska as either an Advanced Nurse Practitioner per 12 ! AAC 44.400 or a Physician's Assistant per 12 AAC 40.400.
Special Note:
Candidates not currently licensed in Alaska may apply. A candidate applying under this option may receive a conditional job offer and may begin work after obtaining the required license.

EDUCATION

If utilizing this education you must show that the education credentials have been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign! educational credentials and that such education has been deemed to be ! at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs; or an accredited U.S. state university reports the other institution as one whose transcript is given full value, or full value is given in subject areas applicable to the curricula at the state university. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
