Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.
Position Summary:
To provide direct personal care services to clients as instructed in the client's individualized Plan of Care developed and supervised by the Registered Nurse Case Manager.
Position Qualifications:
GED or High School diploma; current CPR or willingness to take training; current C.N.A. license or willingness to take training; Bilingual: Yup'ik/Cup'ik and English. Entry level position; no experience required. Work with people in health care related settings.
Ability to read and comp! rehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. A! bility to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
