Description: Alaska Regional Hospital is in need of RN - Air Ambulance Medivac right now, this position will be placed in Alaska. The Registered Nurse (RN) renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet the patient's physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural and educational needs within the ! aeromedical, ground transport, and hospital environments. The RN provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care to each patient based upon the nursing process, and in accordance with hospital and LifeFlight policy and procedure. The RN provides medicines, therapeutic treatments, and invasive procedures under the guidance/supervision of the Medical Control Physician. Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at ARH and LifeFlight Guidelines. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills and is able to evaluate effectiveness of these judgments and make appropriate changes as needed. Maintains and promotes good working relationships with all customers; to include employees, physicians, volunteers, patients and visitors as well as employees and medical staff of sending provider agencies. Must possess ability to handle some harsh working environment! s inside and outside of buildings, ambulances, planes, and mis! cellaneous vehicles. Must possess ability to handle exposure to cold, noise, vibration, and altitude changes, as well as other stressors of flight.

Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications include:
Registered Nurse - State of Alaska

BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC; Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) and NRP (within three months of hire)Required.

TNATC (Trauma Nurse Areo Medical Transport Course)(or CAMTS equivalent) Required within One year of Hire.

CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse), CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) and or CFRN (Certified Flight Registered Nurse) Strongly recommended.

Three years critical care background Required (ER/CCU/Medivac, etc.)
