We are currently seeking Registered Nurses â€" Inpatient Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital is a 14 bed Critical Access Hospital on Alaska’s North Slope. We are looking! for full time direct hire nurses. We offer relocation costs, subsidized housing, benefits and more.We openly welcome energetic, dedicated, and diversified RN’s and LPN’s with a minimum of three years of current experience and a sense of adventure for the Arctic. Brief summary: The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the inpatient setting and provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
Performs general nursing duties for all patients across the life continuum. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.2. Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in theformation of the plan of care; ensures patient confidentiality.3.
Ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.4. Floats to other nursing units where competent and capable, with unit - ! specific orientation.
