Providence is calling a Lift Team Technician to the Transport and Logistics Center at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
The Lift Team Member (LTM) will perform/a! ssist with high-risk patient lifting/transfers/repositioning within the PAMC inpatient areas. LTM will use assistive devices for all lifts/transfers/repositioning. LTM will plan for lifts by assembling proper equipment/personnel to assure the safety of patient and other healthcare staff. LTM is familiar with all lift equipment and will help to educate other staff members regarding its proper use. LTM will be available for quick response by page to any inpatient area of the hospital.
In this position, you will:
Perform or assist other PAMC staff with high-risk lifts/transfers/repositioning of patients using assistive devices for all lifts/ transfers/repositioning.
Complete paperwork/notes to document that requested lift/transfer/repositioning has been successfully accomplished.
Be immediately available for lift/transfer/repositioning requests from nursing units and responds within timeframe specified by Lift Team SOP, unless engaged with! another lift at the time of the paged request
Req! uired qualifications for this position include:
High school or vocational school graduate, or equivalent.
Must complete BLS certification within 6 months.
Minimum of 6 months health care experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant, private caregiver, or other relevant health care / patient care experience required.
This position requires continuous physical effort including lifting, carrying, pushing or moving of patients, and or heavy materials/objects.
The job also requires regular exposure to a work environment that requires safety precautions (universal precautions) be taken.
Demonstrates competent is use of computers and electronic communication devices.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
CNA preferred, health care experience required.
