This rural, 25-bed acute care hospital offers emergency care, surgical services, maternity, rehabilitation, long-term care, and home health care to the residents of Kodiak Island, Alaska. Kodiak Island is part of a large group of islands about 30 miles from the Alaska Peninsula. It is a pristine area surrounded by beauty and wilderness, and most are not accessible by car. You can reach the islands by boat or air charter, and while on the islands you should be sure and check out St. Paul Harbor, Ft. Abercrombie State Historical Park, North End Park, and go whale watching or salmon fishing.
