In this position, you will:
Provide personal care services to residents incorporating the Eden principals in daily decision making. These personal services include all activities of daily life as an elder in our community.
Promote independence by guiding residents in the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and encourages residents to participate in their own personal care.
Provide! assistance and care in such a way that residents are encourag! ed to stay active and involved in their own personal care and health maintenance.
Perform all duties in a manner that respects and supports the family centered care model.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Current State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Current CPR
Six (6) months experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care-giver
About Horizon House
Horizon House is an assisted living community where most residents have more autonomy than in a long term care facility. There are 60 apartments and two cottages; some with double rooms. The homelike atmosphere and two outdoor garden areas make for a pleasant atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
