Description: ***I! CU/ER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***
RN must have a minimum 2 year! s experience in a critical care setting. Responsible for providing patient care in an Emergency Room in accordance with hospital policies/procedures, nursing standards and practices. Will be required to care for complex patients who may require stabilization of life threatening conditions. This care includes: management of multiple IV lines, medication administration, and the use of monitoring equipment. Will provide basic education to patients and their families on health maintenance, medications, disease process, treatment, diagnostic tests, procedures and discharge instructions. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with co-workers, ancillary staff and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Knowledge, skills & ability: Knowledge of professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures. Professional skill in operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment and a! ssisting with procedures.
A current (and not expiring during the time employeed here) BLS, ACLS and PALS
CEN, CCRN, TNCC and/or ENPC preferred
Flexibility with work schedules
Ability to stand for long hours if necessary
A valid and unrestricted Alaska Nursing License
