Hourly Rate: $20.00/per hour
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; however, hours may vary and may require evening and/or weekend hours.
Assignment Duration: August 1 - December 21, 2023
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community/Chaffey partners/Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director, Technical Services, incumbents in this position perform the following functions:
Install, reconfigure, relocate, repair, reinitiate and maintain computer/audio-visual and peripheral equipment, such as projectors, monitors, document cameras, video switches, video conferencing systems, monitors, printers, scanners, processors, personal computer systems, network switches, and AP's.
Load a variety of personal computer software on multiple operating systems and image workstations.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of data communications and telephone systems via Cat-6 cable, fiber optics, and other state-of-the-art communication equipment.
Perform other related duties and temporary and vacation relief as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of a community college environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of audio-visual, data and/or telecommunications equipment, broadcast systems, computer workstations, laptops/tablets, microcomputers, and computer peripheral equipment.
Demonstrated skill in the use of high voltage power supplies regarding safe handling procedures.
Ability to follow directions/instructions and follow established protocols.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty and staff.
