Registered Nurse, Pre/Post OP, Alpine, PRN
Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a highly skilled, dedicated and professional Registered Nurse, Pre/Post OP (PRN) to join our rapidly growing and dynamic Alpine Surgery Cen ter team. This is a PRN position with shifts or schedule determined by mutual agreement.

Representative duties
? Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care of the perioperative patient
? Provide nursing care to the patient undergoing a surgical procedure
? Provide comfort and support for perioperative patients receiving conscious sedation and general anesthesia
? Carry out physician orders
? Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, and monitor vital signs
? Assist physicians with procedures and maintain aseptic technique
Knowledge and skill requirements
? Knowledge of orthopedic pre and post-surgical nursing care
? Knowledge and experience with administration of conscious sedation
? Knowledge of healthcare terminology, anatomy, physiology and concepts of disease
? Skill in operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications and EHR
- Graduate o f an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current registered nurse license with the State of Alaska
- Current BLS/ACLS/PALS cards
- Remain active with all annual licensing
- One (1) year of hospital or ambulatory surgery
- Experience with conscious Sedation
